Separate sealed Bids for the Off-Site Infrastructure for Proposed Project Jonah for the Tazewell County
Public Service Authority, which consists of the following:
Contract I:
Water infrastructure improvements include construction of a new 10-inch water line and
appurtenances to connect the existing water system and a service meter and valve vault to serve the
fishery.
Contract II:
Water infrastructure improvement includes upgrades at three existing water pump stations.
Contract III:
Sewer infrastructure improvements include construction of a new sewage lift station to serve the new
fishery, a new underground detention system, a new 6-inch force main and appurtenances to connect
the new lift station to an existing influent life station which conveys sewage to the existing sewage
treatment plant, and upgrades at the existing influent lift station.

Copies of the Contract Documents (electronic and/or hard copy) are available for purchase through

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on July 9, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. All interested parties
are required to meet the Engineer at Tazewell County Public Service Authority, 168 Tazewell Mall Circle,
Tazewell, Virginia 24651, at that time.
Withdrawal of bids shall be according to procedure (i) of the Virginia Public Procurement Act and to the
Code of Virginia (§ 2.2-4330).
Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.
Each Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia; Bidders are instructed to
review the Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 11, prior to bidding.
This is a federally assisted project. Bidders and Contractors performing work under this advertisement
are bound by the requirements of President’s Executive Order 11246 as amended by Executive Order.
